Painting with sand and gravel

The Cuban-American artist Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada created this three-dimensional portrait of the Spanish architect Enric Miralles, using colored sand and gravel. It is part of the “Terrestrial Series”, like that of Barack Obama that he had created earlier.
